Training Grounds Jiu-Jitsu & MMA (24 Booker St, Westwood, NJ) texts people who ask about classes, book a trial or train with us. Our texts answer your questions, schedule and remind you about trial classes, follow up about getting started, and let you know about schedule changes, closures and school events. Some replies are sent automatically by our booking assistant.

We may also text you now and then about membership offers or promotions.

How you sign up

You agree to get our texts when you give us your mobile number on our website form or waiver, or when you text us first. You don't have to agree to texts to take a class or buy a membership.

How often

It depends on what you've asked about and whether you have a trial or class booked.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your phone plan.

Stopping texts

Reply STOP at any time. We may send one last text confirming you're unsubscribed. To get texts again, text us or sign up again.

My family and I traveled all the way from Southern California so my daughter could compete in a BJJ tournament, and we were fortunate enough to connect with Training Grounds MMA before the event. I reached out to see if both of my daughters (13 and 11) could drop in for a class, and from the very beginning, they were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Coach/Professor Will is an outstanding instructor. The way he teaches is next level! He breaks down scenarios and counters with clear, precise instruction that the kids can actually understand and apply. You can tell immediately that he has the full respect of his students, not just because of his skill, but because of how he carries himself and how much he genuinely cares about their development. He runs a structured, disciplined class while still keeping it engaging and positive. The entire coaching staff was professional, friendly, and made us feel like part of the team right away. The gym itself is very well run and has that rare combination of high-level training and a true family atmosphere. My girls absolutely loved the experience. They walked out more confident, motivated, and excited to keep training. If you’re thinking about putting your kids in martial arts, this is the place. Training Grounds MMA sets the standard. We’ll definitely be dropping in again whenever we’re back competing on the East Coast.

Our five-year old daughter has been attending Training Grounds’ Ninja class for three months now. She was not exposed to Martial Arts prior to the class and yet she began enjoying the jiu jitsu routines immediately. It’s obvious that Professor Wil puts in an incredible amount of thought and effort into the curriculum in order to keep the kids engaged while also making it a fun learning experience. Coach Peter and Coach Allison are there every day supporting the students and ensuring they are using proper technique. There is also a life skills portion at the end of every class where the students participate in a discussion about various topics such as making good choices, confidence, and courage. It’s been an absolute pleasure to watch our daughter participate in the Training Grounds curriculum over the last few months and we look forward to her continued growth.

TG (Training grounds) is such a great place for my child. I wasn’t sure he would take to it coming from Taekwondo. Although, from day 1 he was hooked and I credit that to TG. Their teaching style is conducive to the kids picking up the many moves easily, by repeating each step, also having the children at times repeat key words and then executing the entire moves with a teammate. I love it and best of all my son loves it. He looks forward to his classes and eager to keep learning the discipline of Jujitsu. The staff are very encouraging and patient, definitely a dream team. I particularly like the life lessons they teach towards end of class and the fun game they play towards the very end of class, it makes it fun for the kids. The mix of Jujitsu work, life lessons, and fun makes TG the Jujitsu school for our family! Thanks TG
